MU-FAHLA Center for Advanced Medical Imaging Informatics

On October 4, 2019, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University in collaboration with the Fujifilm Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., has opened “MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY- FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy (MU-FAHLA) Center for Advanced Medical Imaging Informatics”, which is the first Asia Pacific region and university-business collaborative training center for Radiological Technologists in Thailand. The MU-FAHLA training center is located at the Science and Medical Technology Building, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University. The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University; Professor Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na-Ayudhya, Dean of Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University; Mr. Takuma Otsuka, Director of FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy and Mr. Mamoru Morota, General Manager, FUJIFILM Thailand.

The MU-FAHLA Center for Advanced Medical Imaging Informatics is the commitment between the Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University and FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy to establish the collaborative platform for international-standard training to accelerate potential development for academic personals, researchers, radiographer, radiological technologist and medical workforces through international-standard training courses. These include Level 1: Digital Imaging & Medical Informatics Foundation, and Level 2: Medical informatics Intermediate/Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Administrator. The lecturers will be comprised of experts from the Department of Radiological Technology, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University: the first higher education institution in Thailand and in Southeast Asia to offer Radiological Technology program. With the institute collective academic and research strength, participants will receive international-standard skills and knowledge that can be adapted in workplace.

The MU-FAHLA Center for Advanced Medical Imaging Informatics is the Great example for university-business collaborative platform for academic, professional and research excellence as well as internationalization.
